Degreaser

Cleaning agents specially made for removal of grease are called degreasers. These may be solvent-based or solvent-containing and may also have surfactants as active ingredients. The solvents have a dissolving action on grease and similar dirt. The solvent-containing degreaser may have an alkaline washing agent added to a solvent to promote further degreasing. Degreasing agents may also be made solvent-free based on alkaline chemicals and/or surfactants.

Scale Inhibitor

Scale inhibitors are surface-active negatively charged polymers. As minerals exceed their solubility’s and begin to merge, the polymers become attached. The structure for crystallisation is disrupted and the formation of scale is prevented. The particles of scale combined with the inhibitor will than be dispersed and remain in suspension.

Corrosion Inhibitor

Corrosion inhibitors are film-forming surfactants that form water-impermeable barriers on metal surfaces. This prevents galvanic corrosion from occurring between the production pipework and the corrosive fluids that are produced through them. We offer corrosion inhibitors for sweet and sour environments and for high and low temperatures. These highly active products can be formulated into aqueous and organic bases. We also offer a number of green corrosion inhibitors.

Demulsifier
(AMTECH 2000 Series)
Demulsifiers, or emulsion breakers, are a class of specialty chemicals used to separate emulsions (e.g. water in oil). They are commonly used in the processing of crude oil, which is typically produced along with significant quantities of saline water. This water (and salt) must be removed from the crude oil prior to refining. If the majority of the water and salt are not removed, significant corrosion problems can occur in the refining process.

Deoiler/ Water Clarifier

We have effective water clarification under a variety of production conditions that enhances liquid solid separation in wide variety of industrial applications. For offshore environments, removal must be to ≤ 40ppm. Various engineering solutions are employed to reduce oil-in-water content, but for most produced waters, chemical flocculants/clarifiers (also known as deoilers) are used to improve the oil recovery of such equipment to meet and exceed disposal targets.

Sludge Treatment

Separate hydrocarbon sludge to recover oil, discharge water to DOE standards and debris as a conservation and value adding initiative. Sludge is produced from the treatment of wastewater in on-site (e.g. septic tank) and off-site (e.g. activated sludge) systems. This is inherently so because a primary aim of wastewater treatment is removing solids from the wastewater. In addition, soluble organic substances are converted to bacterial cells, and the latter is removed from the wastewater.

Biocides

Biocides are used to kill bacteria in fluids that come into contact with hydrocarbon reservoirs and thus prevent their biological contamination. Sulfate reducing bacteria (SRB) are particularly problematic. Contamination can lead to many costly production problems, including reservoir souring and its associated problems (enhanced corrosion, H2S scavenging and lower-value crude), as well as reduced reservoir permeability to water and oil.
